Job summary

Nouryon is seeking a Site Director to lead the Stenungsund site in Sweden, overseeing safety, reliability, and financial performance for a 325 FTE organization. You will drive organizational transformation, workforce development, and a stronger safety culture, while managing CAPEX and budgetary responsibilities.

Based at the site with limited travel (5–10%), you will champion Lean, Six Sigma, and IBP to improve productivity and cost efficiency, and build partnerships with unions, authorities,

Qualifications

• Senior leadership experience in high-hazard manufacturing or process industries.
• Experience leading organizational transformation and change.
• Proven track record improving safety culture and HSE performance.
• Deep expertise in Process Safety, Asset Integrity, regulatory compliance.
• Strong financial acumen with OpEx and CAPEX responsibility.
• Experience with Lean, Six Sigma, and Integrated Business Planning.
• Excellent communication in Swedish and English.

Responsibilities

• Lead and develop the Stenungsund site organization and leadership team.
• Hold overall responsibility for safety, health, environment, security, and regulatory compliance.
• Strengthen the site’s safety culture and drive continuous improvement.
• Lead organizational change, digitalization, and new ways of working.
• Build workforce capabilities, talent pipelines, and succession plans.
• Own the site's operating budget and drive productivity, cost efficiency, and performance.
• Lead asset management, reliability, and the site investment portfolio.
• Ensure product quality, reliable operations, and supply chain performance.
• Foster a high-performing, inclusive culture with strong employee and union relations.
• Advance sustainability, decarbonization, and resource efficiency initiatives.
• Represent Nouryon with authorities, customers, industry partners, and local communities.
• Based full-time at the Stenungsund site, with limited travel (5–10%).
