EDAG Group in Gothenburg is seeking Senior VIL Engineers to develop, operate, maintain and improve VIL test environments across multiple vehicle projects.

You will implement automation using Python and CAPL, troubleshoot rigs, and integrate hardware and software with Vector tools, collaborating with Volvo Cars teams.

The role requires strong problem solving, English fluency, and a hands-on delivery mindset, with opportunities to influence technical strategy.

Formación

• Degree in Mechatronics, electrical, electronics, computer or software engineering.
• Strong experience in automotive test environments and embedded systems.
• Fluent in English, written and spoken.
• B driving license.

Responsabilidades

• Develop and maintain VIL test environments according to lifecycle management processes.
• Develop automated solutions for VIL environments using Python and CAPL.
• Operate, maintain, and troubleshoot advanced automotive test rigs.
• Integrate and maintain hardware, software, networks, embedded systems, and automation solutions.
• Perform systematic fault tracing and root-cause analysis across electrical, mechanical, network, embedded-software, and test-system domains.
• Handle support tickets, incident tickets, intake requests, and improvement proposals.
• Improve rig stability, monitoring, automation, scalability, and operational efficiency.
• Work with different vehicle platforms, architectures, hardware configurations, and mainly the Vector toolchain.
• Contributing technical feedback to documentation and electrical schematics.
• Collaborating closely with Volvo Cars core teams, stakeholders, Product Owners, and technical leadership.
• Taking ownership of assigned project deliveries and reporting status and progress continuously.
• Participating in daily stand-ups, sprint activities, technical reviews, and regular team demonstrations
