Job summary

GKN Aerospace is seeking a Senior Thermal Analysis Engineer to strengthen our Analysis team and advance thermal simulation for next-generation civil aerospace products. You will predict thermal behaviour of aero-engine components and collaborate across design, aerodynamics, structures and systems engineering to optimize performance.

Qualifications

• MSc in Mechanical Engineering, Mechanical/Aerospace focus or related field.
• Several years of aerospace, gas turbine development or related advanced engineering experience.
• Strong knowledge of thermodynamics, heat transfer and thermal management in complex systems.
• Extensive experience in thermal analysis, numerical simulation and engineering modelling.
• Experience with ANSYS and Python.
• Excellent communication skills and fluent English.

Responsibilities

• Provide advanced expertise in thermal analysis and thermodynamics for civil aerospace projects.
• Analyze and predict thermal behaviour of aero-engine components using simulations to support design optimisation.
• Drive method development and coordinate analysis activities across disciplines.
• Collaborate with design, aerodynamics, structures, materials and engine performance teams.
