GKN Aerospace Sweden is seeking a Senior Thermal Analysis Engineer to strengthen our Analysis team and support the development of next‑generation civil aerospace products.

Do you have deep expertise in thermodynamics, heat transfer and thermal simulation? We are looking for a Senior Thermal Analysis Engineer to strengthen our Analysis team and support the development of next-generation civil aerospace products.
In this role, you will be a key contributor in understanding and predicting the thermal behaviour of advanced aero-engine components and systems. Through high-fidelity simulation and engineering analysis, you will help optimize thermal performance, component durability and overall engine efficiency. Working in a multidisciplinary environment, you will collaborate with specialists across design, aerodynamics, structures and systems engineering to solve complex technical challenges and support the development of sustainable aerospace technologies.
As a Senior Thermal Analysis Engineer, you will provide advanced expertise in thermal analysis and thermodynamics across a broad range of civil aerospace development projects.
You will analyze and predict the thermal behaviour of advanced aero-engine components and systems, using ANSYS and internally developed simulation tools to support design optimisation, product verification and engineering decision‑making. Working closely with specialists in design, aerodynamics, structures, materials and engine performance, you will help solve complex multidisciplinary engineering challenges.
As a senior member of the team, you will also drive method development, coordinate analysis activities and contribute to the continuous advancement of thermal simulation capabilities.
To succeed in this role, you are a proactive and analytical engineer with a genuine interest in solving complex thermal and thermodynamic challenges. You combine technical depth with a collaborative mindset and enjoy working across engineering disciplines. As a senior specialist, you are comfortable taking ownership, guiding technical discussions and supporting colleagues through your expertise.
