Job summary

Volvo Group in Eskilstuna is seeking a Senior Test Engineer to lead testing of powertrain and electrification systems for construction equipment. The role spans planning, execution and analysis across the full product development cycle, including verification strategies and design improvements.

The position requires strong experience in testing and vehicle systems, with proficiency in English and Swedish. You will work in a global, collaborative engineering environment on next‑gen powertrains

Qualifications

• Degree in Mechanical, Automotive, Electrical or related field.
• Experience with testing, verification, validation or product development in automotive/industrial sectors.
• Strong understanding of powertrains, transmissions and vehicle systems.
• English and Swedish communication skills.
• Experience with measurement systems and data analysis tools.

Responsibilities

• Plan, lead and execute testing activities for powertrain and electrification systems.
• Define verification strategies and test plans across product development cycles.
• Analyze results, troubleshoot issues and recommend design improvements.
• Collaborate across disciplines with engineers, software teams and suppliers.
• Lead risk analysis to ensure safe testing environments.
