We are looking for an experienced and technically driven Senior Test Engineer to play a key role in the development and verification of next-generation powertrains and electrified systems for construction equipment.

About The Role

As a Senior Test Engineer, you will be responsible for planning, leading, and executing testing activities related to powertrain and electrification systems. You will work throughout the entire product development cycle, from defining verification strategies and test plans to analyzing results, troubleshooting issues, and recommending design improvements.

You will serve as a key technical contributor, providing both specialist expertise and a systems-level perspective in cross-functional development projects.

You will work in a team with test technicians and workshop mechanics.

Key Responsibilities
  • Plan, coordinate, and execute verification and validation activities
  • Test and evaluate diesel, hybrid, and electric powertrain systems
  • Perform functional testing of transmissions, axles, electric motors, and battery systems
  • Analyze test data and create technical reports and recommendations
  • Lead troubleshooting activities and root cause investigations
  • Develop and improve test methods, processes, and test equipment
  • Ensure systems and components meet performance, durability, and functional requirements
  • Collaborate closely with design engineers, system engineers, software developers, and suppliers
  • Participate in global development projects and provide technical leadership within testing and verification
  • Lead and drive risk analysis to ensure safe and healthy test environment
Qualifications

We are looking for someone who has:

  • A B.Sc. or M.Sc. degree in Mechanical Engineering, Automotive Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or a related field
  • Several years of experience in testing, verification, validation, or product development within the automotive, construction equipment, or industrial sectors
  • Strong technical understanding of powertrains, transmissions, and vehicle systems
  • Experience with measurement systems, instrumentation, and data analysis tools
  • The ability to independently plan and drive complex testing activities
  • Experience documenting, analyzing, and presenting technical results
  • Excellent communication skills in both English and Swedish
Meritorious Experience

Experience in one or more of the following areas is highly valued:

  • Electrified powertrains and high-voltage systems
  • Battery technology and energy storage systems
  • CAN communication, CANalyzer, or similar tools
  • Functional safety and verification according to industry standards
  • Working in international product development organizations
