Job summary

Volvo Cars is seeking a Test Facility Engineer within the Propulsion Electronics Lab to define test environments for electric machines, inverters and power electronics.

You will gather stakeholder needs, balance requirements, and ensure integration with our software infrastructure while contributing to verification across propulsion systems. Strong communication, leadership, and collaboration are required in a fast-paced environment.

Qualifications

• M.Sc. or B.Sc. in Electrical Engineering, Automotive Engineering, or a related technical field.
• Previous experience working with test environment projects.
• Experience in technical leadership.
• Strong communication and presentation skills.

Responsibilities

• Define functional and non-functional requirements including safety concepts and method development for test environments and external testing.
• Gather, analyze, and balance needs from a wide range of stakeholders.
• Extend existing test capabilities and ensure that new test environments are integrated into our current software infrastructure.
• Our test environment portfolio covers propulsion-related verification areas; contributions depend on competence and experience.
