Job summary

Volvo Group in Gothenburg is seeking an inspiring Section Manager for BE31150 “Workshop & Rigs”. You will lead a diverse team of about 70 mechanics, managing prototype vehicles, mechanical and electrical prototype manufacturing, and test rigs. You will guide engineers and specialists, fostering development and a safe, results-driven workplace.

The role emphasizes leadership, collaboration across functions, and strong communication in Swedish and English. Last application date is 14 September.

Qualifications

• Many years of experience as leader and a minimum bachelor’s degree in engineering or equivalent.
• Proven cooperation skills and ability to work cross functionally.
• Good product and customer knowledge.
• Experience or interest in technical safety.
• Good verbal and written communication skills in both Swedish and English.
• Experience working in a workshop or manufacturing is an advantage.

Responsibilities

As a Section manager you will lead a team of approx. 70 mechanics working with prototype vehicles, mechanical & electrical prototype manufacturing & prototypes in test rigs. The section also contains of one group of skilled specialists in the field of technical safety & environment, and this team serves as support to all Lundby based TTI functions.
The section is organized into 6 teams and with a management team of 7 people, that you will be leading.
