Job summary

Gemkom Engineering and Machinery Filial in Boden, Sweden, seeks a Technical Office Engineer to support steel-industry projects. You will prepare progress reports, drawings, RFIs, and documents, coordinating with engineers and site teams to ensure accurate, timely information.

We expect a Civil Engineering degree with at least 5 years in a technical office role, proficiency in Excel and AutoCAD, and strong English communication.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering or related discipline.
• Minimum 5 years of relevant experience in a Technical Office or similar position.
• Strong knowledge of MS Excel.
• Proficiency in AutoCAD and ability to review/modify drawings.
• Good written and spoken English.
• Experience on industrial/large-scale projects preferred.
• Knowledge of Primavera P6 and/or MS Project is an advantage.
• Analytical, organizational and problem-solving skills.
• Ability to work independently and in a multidisciplinary team.
• Good communication and coordination skills.

Responsibilities

• Prepare progress reports, quantity measurements, and supporting documentation.
• Prepare and maintain daily site/activity reports.
• Prepare, update, organize, and distribute technical drawings and revisions.
• Prepare and coordinate RFIs and follow up until resolution.
• Review requirements and modify/redesign drawings with engineers.
• Monitor and report man-hour utilization and productivity data.
• Maintain control and distribution of project correspondence and records.
• Assist with quantity take-offs, progress measurement, and cost-related documentation.
• Coordinate with site teams and departments to ensure flow of information.
• Ensure documentation is updated per project procedures.
• Support management with technical and contractual documentation.
