Job summary

Techrytera AB in Sweden seeks an experienced System Architect / Requirements Engineer for a long-term product development assignment in advanced technical systems. The project moves from Concept to Development, maturing architecture, resolving open decisions, and refining requirements.

You will own a defined requirements area, ensure traceability, drive architectural trade-offs, support decomposition, and coach engineers and Product Owners in requirements engineering.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's or Master's degree in Engineering, Computer Science, or a similar technical discipline.
• At least 10 years of experience in software architecture and software development.
• At least 5 years of experience in Requirements Engineering.
• Broad experience in system and software architecture within complex technical products.
• Strong understanding of systems where software, hardware, control systems, and physical subsystems interact.
• Practical experience with system decomposition, requirement allocation, and requirements traceability.
• Experience ensuring consistency and alignment between system architecture and requirements.
• Experience with requirements management tools, preferably Polarion or equivalent.
• Demonstrated experience planning and leading technical workshops.
• Experience working according to Agile development methodologies.
• Advanced professional proficiency in English.

Responsibilities

• Support and drive transition from Concept to Development within a defined technical area.
• Drive resolution of open architectural choices and technical trade-offs.
• Develop, structure, refine, and ensure the quality of system requirements.
• Own and take responsibility for a defined requirements area, ensuring quality and traceability.
• Support system decomposition and allocation of requirements to subsystems.
• Ensure consistency between system architecture, requirements, and solutions.
• Lead and support technical investigations and assess their impact at system level.
• Update architecture and requirements based on findings from investigations and decisions.
• Facilitate workshops related to architecture, requirement refinement, and technical decisions.
• Coach engineers and Product Owners in Requirements Engineering and tools.
• Support engineering teams with system-level expertise and information sessions.
• Collaborate with project management, architects, Product Owners, and distributed teams.
