KUBO is seeking a Senior Security Engineer to design, implement, and maintain security solutions within the Microsoft ecosystem. The role focuses on identity security, endpoint protection, cloud security, and threat monitoring, with hands-on configuration and client-facing advisory duties.

You will work with Entra ID, Defender for Endpoint, Defender for Cloud, Sentinel, and Intune, collaborating with stakeholders and vendors to strengthen client security. Fluency in Swedish and English preferred.

Qualifications

• Degree or higher in IT, cybersecurity, or related field.
• Microsoft certifications in Security, Identity or Azure are desirable.
• Experience designing, implementing, and maintaining security solutions in Microsoft environments.

Are you an experienced Security Engineer who combines strong technical expertise with a customer-oriented approach? We are looking for a Senior Security Engineer to support organizations in designing, implementing, and maintaining security solutions within the Microsoft ecosystem.

In this role, you will focus on identity security, endpoint protection, cloud security, and threat monitoring. You will combine technical consulting with hands-on implementation of security solutions for clients.

Key Responsibilities

• Design, implement, and maintain security solutions in Microsoft environments, covering identity, endpoints, cloud services, and security monitoring.
• Provide expert support in Microsoft Security technologies, including Entra ID, Defender for Endpoint, Defender for Cloud, Sentinel, and Intune.
• Support incident response, security monitoring, and initiatives aimed at strengthening organizational security.
• Analyze client requirements and translate technical security needs into practical recommendations and business improvements.
• Work closely with business stakeholders, IT teams, and external vendors.
• Act as a technical expert in client projects, combining security consulting with hands-on configuration, implementation, and maintenance of solutions.

Ideal Candidate Profile

• Senior-level experience in designing, implementing, or maintaining security solutions in Microsoft environments.
• Proven knowledge of several of the following technologies: Microsoft Entra ID, Defender for Endpoint, Defender for Cloud, Sentinel, Intune, Microsoft 365 Security, and Azure.
• Experience in incident response, security monitoring, or cybersecurity improvement initiatives.
• Experience working with business stakeholders, IT teams, and external vendors. Consulting experience or direct client-facing experience would be an advantage.
• Post-secondary or higher education in IT, cybersecurity, or a related field. A university degree and Microsoft certifications in Security, Identity, or Azure are desirable.
• Ability to work independently, take ownership, communicate effectively, and combine a strategic approach with hands-on technical work.
• Additional experience in Zero Trust, IAM/PAM, security architecture, or organizations operating in the energy, industrial, or critical infrastructure sectors would be an advantage.
• Fluency in Swedish and English.

Employment Conditions

• Work model: Office-based in Stockholm, with the possibility of working remotely from time to time.
• Employment type: Permanent employment directly with the client.
• Duration: Long-term position.
• Salary: Negotiable, depending on the candidate’s experience and skill set.
