Job summary

Grafana Labs is hiring a Senior Software Engineer - Security Assurances to join the GRC engineering team. You will build automated security observability, compliance, and control management systems, defending systems and providing guardrails for secure engineering and operations.

This is a highly technical, hands-on role in a remote-first, cloud-native organization. Experience with security programs in SaaS and knowledge of standards like ISO 27001, SOC 2, GDPR is valuable.

Qualifications

• Experience developing in a production environment with at least one programming language.
• Knowledge of using and securing containerized, cloud-native applications, ideally with Kubernetes.
• Experience in automating security and compliance processes using tools, scripts, and frameworks.
• Strong interpersonal skills for communication with peers, stakeholders, auditors, and customers.
• Understanding of ISO 27001, SOC 2, PCI DSS, NIST, GDPR, and how to apply them without added burden.

Responsibilities

• Be a technical contributor on the GRC team covering certifications, application, build, cloud, and supply chain security, and internal security tooling development.
• Develop, implement, and maintain highly automated security assurance programs to ensure compliance with organizational and regulatory requirements.
• Develop systems and security observability to push the GRC organization beyond mere certification.
• Deploy security and compliance checks in daily workflows and build pipelines.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to integrate security controls into the SDLC and operations.
• Respond to customer security issues, alerts, and incidents.
