Job summary

Salve.Lab is seeking a hands-on Security Engineer for Application Security, GRC & AI to join the R&D team. You will own security operations end-to-end, review code, manage vulnerabilities, and coordinate external assessments for a large AI-powered platform with 50+ million users.

You’ll work directly with engineers and leadership in a fully remote, Europe-based setup. The role emphasizes practical security engineering over compliance-only work, offering high autonomy and collaboration with

Qualifications

• 2–3+ years hands-on security engineering experience.
• Strong application security expertise including code reviews, vulnerability identification and remediation.
• Experience coordinating security audits and penetration tests.
• Ability to work directly with application code and development teams using Git/GitHub.
• Practical scripting or automation experience (Python, Bash).
• Experience in AI environment or AI security is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Review code and identify potential application vulnerabilities.
• Investigate, prioritise and remediate security weaknesses across apps and services.
• Collaborate with developers to implement secure coding practices and fixes.
• Work within Git/GitHub workflows to review code and improve security.
• Coordinate external security assessments and audits.
• Track vulnerabilities and ensure timely remediation with engineering teams.
• Maintain and improve the security risk register and governance processes.
• Monitor security alerts and emerging threats, especially related to AI.
