Job summary

SEB is a technology-driven financial institution seeking a senior software engineer for the Quant Development team within Market & Counterparty Risk. You will help build calculation engines, data pipelines, and backend services while collaborating with quants, risk specialists, and other engineering teams across the bank.

You will work hands-on with production systems, design robust data flows, and contribute to risk calculations and analytics in a hybrid work model.

Qualifications

• Hands-on experience building and maintaining production systems, ideally in C# and/or Python.
• Comfortable with SQL and designing/validating data flows across systems.
• Ability to deliver complex changes independently and explain technical choices.
• Work systematically with multiple people to plan work, align contributors, and drive progress to completion.
• Valuing testing, code review, CI/CD and continuous improvement.
• Ability to collaborate with technical and non-technical stakeholders and mentor others.

Responsibilities

• Contribute to calculation engines for risk analytics and validation.
• Build data pipelines for market and trade data using Python and Airflow.
• Develop backend services and APIs in C#.
