Job summary

Galderma in Uppsala is seeking a Quality Control Specialist – Microbiological Methods to join our QC organization. In this senior expert role, you will act as the technical authority for microbiological analytical methods, providing guidance, training, and support to QC colleagues and Galderma’s global network, ensuring methods meet GMP standards.

You will lead method validations, drive continuous improvement, and contribute to deviation investigations and audits.

Qualifications

• PhD or Master's degree in a relevant field.
• 10+ years of experience in Quality Control or R&D with a focus on microbiological methods and method validation.
• Experience with GxP, GMP, and regulatory frameworks relevant to pharma/medical devices.
• Proven ability to train, coach, and communicate complex technical information clearly.

Responsibilities

• Serve as SME in microbiological methods, including troubleshooting, optimization, and method development.
• Provide technical leadership and mentorship to QC team and cross-functional stakeholders.
• Lead and coordinate microbiological method validations (design, execution, evaluation, and reporting).
• Ensure analyses and QC operations comply with GMP, GxP, and Galderma quality standards.
• Identify and mitigate quality and compliance risks; contribute to deviation investigations.
• Represent QC in cross-functional and global projects with microbiological insights.
• Drive continuous improvement and simplification of analytical methods, work instructions, and quality systems.
• Prepare and present technical documentation for audits, inspections, and management reviews.
• Promote a compliant and collaborative laboratory culture.
