Job summary

Sysmex Astrego in Uppsala invites a Senior Project Manager – Operations/Engineering to lead high‑impact manufacturing initiatives at scale. Qualifications

• Master’s degree in engineering or related field.
• Extensive PM experience in Operations/Engineering/Manufacturing, ideally regulated (IVD/MedTech/Pharma).
• Proven track record of leading automation, scale‑up, and process optimization projects.
• Experience managing external suppliers and partners, with negotiation and oversight to quality, time, cost targets.
• Experience in new production equipment implementation.
• Hands‑on experience in regulated environments (ISO 13485 and/or GMP).
• Strong cross‑functional leadership in international settings.
• Excellent English written and spoken communication.

Responsibilities

• Lead engineering and Operations projects from concept through implementation.
• Build and maintain project plans, budgets, timelines, and deliverables using PM methodologies.
• Drive and coordinate cross‑functional teams across Production, Engineering, QA/RA, Supply Chain, R&D, and external partners.
• Ensure compliance with ISO 13485, GMP, and other regulatory requirements.
• Lead automation initiatives, scale‑up, and process improvement to increase capacity and robustness.
• Identify and mitigate project risks; report progress to management and steering committees.
• Contribute to continuous improvement of project models, governance, and tools.
• Manage new production equipment implementations and lifecycle improvements.
