Job summary

KeyPlants Automation in Sweden seeks a Senior Automation Engineer to deliver complex automation solutions for production facilities and industrial processes. You will collaborate with customers and multidisciplinary teams to design and implement reliable, compliant automation systems.

The role offers ownership, independence, and the opportunity to contribute to large-scale, international projects across regulated industries, with travel to sites in Sweden and abroad.

Qualifications

• Minimum of 5 years of experience in automation for process industries.
• Strong experience with DCS, PLC, SCADA platforms, preferably Siemens PCS7, ABB 800xA, or Emerson DeltaV.
• Experience delivering automation projects within process industries such as Life Science, pharmaceuticals, energy, chemicals, or other regulated environments.
• Very good communication skills in English and Swedish.

Responsibilities

• Design, program, configure, and commission automation solutions for process industries.
• Take technical ownership of automation deliveries from concept and design through implementation, testing, and commissioning.
• Work with DCS, PLC, and SCADA systems, primarily Siemens PCS7, ABB 800xA, and Emerson DeltaV.
• Coordinate project activities, monitor progress, budgets, and resource requirements, and ensure high-quality deliverables and documentation.
• Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams, including process, electrical, mechanical, and HVAC disciplines, and provide technical leadership and mentoring to colleagues and subcontractors when required.
