Job summary

Thermo Fisher Scientific in Uppsala is seeking a Sr Production Engineer to optimize production processes, implement new technologies, and drive continuous improvement within the Solid Phase production team.

You will collaborate with R&D, Quality and Manufacturing to ensure compliant, high-quality output while leading cross-functional projects and cost-reduction initiatives, reporting to the Director of Manufacturing Solid Phase.

Qualifications

• Advanced degree plus 5 years of experience in manufacturing engineering in regulated industries.
• Preferred fields: Mechanical, Electrical, Chemical, Industrial engineering.
• PE license or similar certifications beneficial.
• Lean tools and GMP/ISO knowledge are advantageous.
• Experience with automation systems, PLCs, and manufacturing control systems.

Responsibilities

• Optimize production processes and drive continuous improvement initiatives.
• Implement new technologies and automation solutions.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams (R&D, Quality, Production) to ensure compliant manufacturing.
• Manage process validation, equipment qualification, and change control.
