Job summary

FDJ UNITED is seeking a Site Reliability Engineer (Observability Engineer) to design, develop, and operate a high-performance observability framework. You will focus on health, performance, and reliability across products and infrastructure, with VictoriaLogs and VictoriaMetrics at the core and OTEL for metrics and log ingestion.

Qualifications

• Experience with Terraform and IaC
• Configuration management with Ansible or Chef
• Scripting in Bash, Python and Go
• Git/GitLab for version control
• OpenTelemetry for metrics/logs
• Containerization with Docker/Podman and Kubernetes
• AWS cloud experience
• Understanding of distributed systems and networking
• Experience with ArgoCD or Jenkins for CI/CD
• Knowledge of TSDB concepts and log management
• Familiarity with API/JSON and caching strategies
• Strong emphasis on automation and testing

Responsibilities

• Design and build a high-performance observability platform
• Drive OpenTelemetry adoption for metrics/log ingestion
• Create and maintain IaC pipelines and configuration management
• Contribute to CI/CD pipelines and deployment workflows
• Improve reliability, scalability, and performance of the observability stack
• Define and track SLIs and reliability standards
• Participate in code reviews and architectural discussions
• Support capacity planning, releases and change management
• Promote automation-first culture
