Job summary

FDJ UNITED is seeking a Site Reliability Engineer (SRE) to join the Platform Delivery and Reliability Services team, driving observability and reliability across systems. The role emphasizes automation, reducing lead times to detect and fix issues, and collaborating with Development and Infrastructure teams to embed metrics, traces, logs, and alerts in system design.

The ideal candidate has a strong coding background, Linux expertise, and hands-on experience with distributed systems and cloud

Qualifications

• Strong background in coding.
• Experience with writing scripts and performing code reviews.
• Deep understanding of the Linux operating system.
• Experience working with distributed systems.
• Hands-on experience in alerting/monitoring, time-series databases and visualization, logging, or APM.
• Experience using infrastructure-building tools.
• Strong understanding of infrastructure as code.
• Knowledge of container orchestration platforms.
• Experience working with public or private clouds.
• Verbal and written communication skills.

We are looking for a bold, innovative engineer to join our Platform Delivery and Reliability Services (PDRS) team and help grow and maintain our Observability Platform.

Responsibilities

• Design, build, and integrate solutions to provide monitoring and observability using an automation-first mindset.
• Use SRE principles to eliminate repetitive work, reduce lead time to detect and repair issues.
• Help increase overall reliability of our products and services.
• Create a bridge between Development and Infrastructure teams by providing services, libraries, and best practices to ensure that requirements concerning observability (metrics, traces, logs, alerts, etc.) are part of the design of new systems.
• Keep up to date with compliance training offered by the company.
• Support and act in line with the company values, share knowledge and contribute to the team's documentation.
• Collaborate to achieve common goals and follow the company processes, procedures, and methodologies.
