Job summary

Fortum in Solna, Sweden seeks an experienced Project Manager for nuclear power initiatives. You will lead large delivery projects, coordinate environmental assessments, permits, and stakeholder interfaces, and drive safety, quality, and performance across the project lifecycle.

Based in Solna with regular collaboration with Finland and opportunities for international travel, the role focuses on Sweden’s new nuclear development and evolving assignments within Engineering & Projects.

Qualifications

• 5–10 years of experience as a Project Manager in the energy sector.
• Master’s degree in Engineering (Energy Technology or related field).
• Experience in risk management, procurement, and contract/claims management.
• Experience coordinating authorities, consultants and stakeholders in permitting or environmental assessment.

Responsibilities

• Overall responsibility for project delivery including planning, scheduling, resourcing, procurement, contract management and EHSQ.
• Lead early-phase development, environmental assessment, and permitting activities.
• Motivate and supervise the project team to secure progress and strong teamwork.
• Manage interfaces with customers, suppliers and consultants throughout the project and ensure safety on site.
