About The Role

We are looking for a Senior Grid Specialist with both solid theoretical knowledge and practical experience of connecting power plants into the grid in Sweden. The position is based in Solna, Stockholm, and you will work closely with the Electrical Engineering team within Engineering & Projects, Fortum's Nuclear Generation in Espoo, Finland. Engineering & Projects provides technical expertise and delivers projects across our Nuclear Businesses, employing around 200 top professionals. We support new nuclear development, external customers through Nuclear Services, our co-owned nuclear plants in Sweden and Finland, and our fully owned Loviisa Nuclear Power Plant in Finland. In this role, you will support Fortum's New Nuclear by contributing to studies, technical evaluations, and engineering activities related to main generators and their associated systems. This is a unique opportunity to gain direct insight into the development of future nuclear projects while playing an active role in shaping Sweden's energy future. You will collaborate with Fortum's extensive network of nuclear experts and may also contribute to assignments for other nuclear industry customers. Initially, the selected person will focus on new nuclear development in Sweden and supporting our external customers, with opportunities to take on broader assignments and projects across our Nuclear Business over time.
