Job summary

Fortum Sverige AB seeks a Senior Expert in Power Plant Chemistry to shape chemistry functions for nuclear facilities across lifecycle—from design through decommissioning. You will lead programmes, organize chemistry activities, and collaborate with Fortum teams and external customers to ensure safety, reliability and environmental compliance.

The role covers primary/secondary circuit chemistry, sampling, chemical management and regulatory adherence, with travel within Sweden and Finland.

Qualifications

• Relevant technical or scientific degree in chemistry, chemical engineering or related field.
• Several years of experience in nuclear power plant chemistry or related expert assignments.
• Strong understanding of how chemistry affects plant safety, corrosion and environmental performance.
• Experience in primary/secondary circuit chemistry, radiochemistry, laboratories, commissioning or operational readiness.
• Ability to work independently and translate chemistry requirements into practical solutions.

Responsibilities

• Develop chemistry functions, control programmes and operating arrangements for new nuclear facilities.
• Define how chemistry activities are organised, resourced and implemented through design, commissioning and operation.
• Support operational readiness by ensuring compliance with regulatory requirements and environmental standards.
• Collaborate across Fortum and with external customers, suppliers and partners, including travel within Sweden/Finland.
