Mimica is hiring a Machine Learning Engineer/Data Scientist for the Data Intelligence team. You will own ML pipelines end-to-end, improving accuracy, cost efficiency, and trust in models used across the product.

You will build LLM evals, run experiments, and prototype open-source models, shaping production systems powering Mimica’s AI-driven platform at scale. This is a fully remote role for candidates in UK or Europe, with strong emphasis on data-driven experimentation and collaboration.

Qualifikationen

• Solid machine learning/data science background with understanding of experimental design, data splits, metrics, bias, and significance.
• Hands-on experience applying LLMs in production or near-production settings, building eval sets, LLM judges, benchmarks, and prompting pipelines.
• Comfortable exploring messy data and transforming insights into measurable improvements.
• Strong Python and software engineering skills; write readable, tested production-ready code.
• Able to work independently on ambiguous problems and define acceptance criteria.
• Ability to explain technical trade-offs to both technical and non-technical audiences.

Aufgaben

• Own, debug, and improve production ML pipelines for accuracy and efficiency.
• Design, build, and iterate on LLM evals and LLM-as-a-judge systems, including datasets and metrics.
• Run experiments on prompts, models, and inputs; translate results into recommendations.
• Improve LLM efficiency across pipelines by using smaller, purpose-built models where appropriate.
• Expand anonymization pipeline by evaluating/adapting existing models.
• Collaborate with Python/quality engineers to ship experiments into production.
• Document findings in experiment reports and design docs.
