Job summary

Stegra is seeking a Mechanical Maintenance Lead – Caster to join the Mechanical Maintenance team within Steel Operations. You will be responsible for reliability and performance of mechanical equipment across the Caster area, troubleshooting complex issues, and developing maintenance strategies.

Work closely with Maintenance, Production, and Automation to establish best practices during commissioning, ramp-up, and steady production.

Qualifications

• Degree in Mechanical Engineering or equivalent practical industrial experience.

Responsibilities

• Act as a technical expert within mechanical maintenance for the Caster area.
• Develop and improve preventive and predictive maintenance strategies.
• Lead root-cause analyses of mechanical failures and drive reliability improvements.
• Plan and coordinate maintenance activities, shutdowns, and upgrades across functions.
• Lead condition monitoring and identify potential failures before they impact production.
• Ensure maintenance plans and documentation are maintained in CMMS.
• Share knowledge and mentor colleagues while promoting safe maintenance practices.
