Job summary

Stegra is seeking a Mechanical Maintenance Lead - Caster to guide the mechanical maintenance team in the Caster area of our steel operations. You will troubleshoot complex issues, develop maintenance strategies, and drive reliability improvements across equipment and processes.

You will collaborate with Maintenance, Production and Automation to establish best practices during commissioning, ramp-up and steady production, building a world-class maintenance organization at one of the industry’s

Qualifications

• Degree in Mechanical Engineering or related field.
• Solid experience in industrial mechanical maintenance, preferably steel/metallurgical.
• Strong troubleshooting and diagnostic skills with root-cause experience.
• Experience with CMMS and maintenance planning processes.
• Ability to guide and share knowledge in a multicultural team.

Responsibilities

• Act as a technical expert in mechanical maintenance, supporting troubleshooting and repairs across the Caster area.
• Develop and improve preventive and predictive maintenance strategies to boost reliability.
• Lead root-cause analyses and drive corrective actions.
• Plan and coordinate maintenance activities, shutdowns, upgrades and projects.
• Lead condition monitoring and identify potential failures before they impact production.
• Maintain equipment history, work orders and CMMS documentation accurately.
• Mentor colleagues and promote safe maintenance practices.
