Job summary

Kintec Global Recruitment is seeking a Mechanical Construction Manager to lead mechanical installation activities on a major infrastructure project in Sweden. You will work closely with project leadership, engineering teams and subcontractors to ensure on-time delivery, high safety standards and top-quality workmanship.

You will coordinate across disciplines, manage procurement interfaces, review drawings and resolve technical issues while driving scheduling, risk management and commissioning

Qualifications

• Degree in Mechanical Engineering or Building Services or related discipline.
• Minimum 8 years' experience in mechanical construction management on complex projects.
• Strong background in HVAC, piping, plant and building services installations.
• Proven track record leading multidisciplinary subcontractor teams.
• Excellent project coordination, planning and stakeholder management.
• Strong understanding of construction sequencing, installation methodologies and commissioning processes.
• Ability to work in fast-paced, technically demanding project environments.
• Experience in mission-critical, industrial, pharmaceutical, energy or similar complex projects advantageous.

Responsibilities

• Lead and manage all mechanical construction activities throughout project delivery.
• Coordinate daily site operations with construction, engineering and project management teams.
• Ensure quality assurance and quality control procedures are fully implemented and maintained.
• Monitor progress against programme milestones and drive schedule performance.
• Manage subcontractor activities, productivity, coordination and resource allocation.
• Conduct regular site inspections and progress reviews.
• Review technical drawings, specifications and installation methodologies.
• Coordinate with design and engineering teams to resolve technical issues and ensure information is issued in line with project requirements.
• Drive compliance with health, safety and environmental standards.
• Support commercial activities including variation management, cost control and reporting.
• Chair and participate in project coordination, planning and progress meetings.
• Manage testing, commissioning support, snagging and final handover activities.
• Identify and mitigate construction, technical and interface risks.
