Qualifications

Responsibilities

• Perform manual verification and validation of Automotive solutions for the European market.
• Design, implement, and execute test cases covering key use cases and system scenarios.
• Conduct static or dynamic test drives as needed and ensure traceability from design to defect reporting.
• Record traces, provide time markers for defect analysis, and report issues to development teams.
• Collaborate with Test Manager and cross-functional teams to align testing strategy and participate in business trips when required.

A leading software provider in the automotive industry is looking for a Senior Manual QA Engineer to join our team in Krakow. Help ensure the seamless performance of automotive solutions across global markets.

Project Overview:

In collaboration with leading automotive brands, we focus on manual testing of automotive solutions for the European market and beyond. This role involves conducting essential manual verification and validation to ensure the automotive system meets the highest quality standards across different markets.

Requirements:

• Valid Driver's license of category B (required for field testing and driving-based validation activities).
• At least 5+ years of experience in manual QA testing for software products.
• Significant Automotive experience of at least 3 years in such areas: IVI (In-Vehicle Infotainment) testing, Navigation system testing, Map SDK testing (HERE, Mapbox, etc.), HMI (Human-Machine Interface) validation, Multimedia testing (Radio, Audio, Video), Voice Assistant validation, Apple CarPlay testing, Android Auto testing, Bluetooth testing, Wi-Fi connectivity testing, Over-the-Air (OTA/FOTA) update testing, ADAS feature validation, eCall testing.
• Strong knowledge of manual testing methodologies, including test case creation, execution, and reporting.
• Strong understanding of SDLC (Software Development Life Cycle) and Agile methodologies.
• Proven experience with test management tools (e.g., Xray, Jira).
• Knowledge of Android debugging tools, including ADB and Android Studio.
• Advanced knowledge of Linux CLI and general system administration.
• Upper-Intermediate English proficiency (both written and spoken).
• Extensive driving experience (must be comfortable with real-world driving scenarios and automotive systems).
• Regularly work from the office in Krakow to access test vehicles for field testing.

Nice to have:

• Experience with field testing and coordination of testing in different markets.
• Hands-on experience testing Android applications and devices.
• Hands-on experience using CANoe.

Responsibilities:

• Perform manual verification and validation of Automotive solutions to ensure the system meets the highest quality standards for the European market.
• Validate Automotive solutions through manual testing in multiple regions on test rigs, ensuring they function as expected in diverse environments.
• Design, implement, and execute test cases to ensure they cover all necessary use cases and system scenarios.
• Performing static or dynamic test drives as a driver or test engineer.
• Ensure the traceability of test cases throughout the testing process, from design through execution and defect reporting.
• Executing test plans/test suites based on priorities provided by the Test Manager/Test Lead,
• Recording traces and providing proper time markers for defect analysis.
• Identify, report, and help resolve issues or bugs found during testing, collaborating closely with development teams.
• Conduct manual testing in real-world environments to simulate customer use cases and ensure proper system behavior.
• Collaborate with Test Manager, QA engineers, and cross-functional teams to align on overall testing strategy and approach.
• Participate in business trips at the client's request.
