Job summary

Astek Sweden is seeking a driven Test Developer to join a cross-functional agile team focused on automation testing and fault tracing in automotive software.

You will develop and maintain automated test solutions, analyze system behavior, and contribute to high-quality validation across vehicle, rig environments and embedded systems. Strong collaboration with developers and testers is essential.

Qualifications

We are looking for a driven and curious Test Developer with experience in automation testing and fault tracing within the automotive industry. About the role

In this role, you will be part of a cross-functional agile team working with testing and validation of advanced automotive systems. The position combines automation testing, troubleshooting, and hands-on work in both vehicle and rig environments. You will be involved in identifying and analyzing system behavior, developing and maintaining automated test solutions, and supporting the overall quality assurance process throughout development.

You will work closely with developers, testers, and other engineering teams to ensure reliable functionality and efficient fault tracing in complex embedded systems. The role also includes working with modern test environments, tools, and frameworks used within automotive software development.

We believe you have experience with

• Automation testing within the automotive industry
• Fault tracing and troubleshooting in vehicle systems
• Python and/or CAPL/C programming
• Tools such as CANoe, vTestStudio, Robot Framework, or similar
• Git and version handling tools
• Testing in rigs, lab environments, or vehicles
• Embedded software or distributed systems
• Working in agile and cross-functional teams
• Communicating technical findings in a structured and clear way

We also see it as valuable if you have experience with

• Jenkins or CI/CD environments
• Diagnostic tools and network communication
• Software download or system verification processes
• A relevant BSc or MSc within Software, Electrical Engineering, Mechatronics, or similar
