Job summary

Avaron AB is seeking a senior Linux infrastructure specialist to own and optimize our Linux environments. You will manage servers, endpoints, Docker stacks, and VPNs while ensuring security and reliability for access to corporate resources and R&D tools.

You will integrate Linux with Microsoft enterprise services (Entra ID, Intune, SSO/PKI) and work across teams to deliver robust, scalable solutions. Permanent employment at Avaron AB offers broad technical ownership and growth.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of experience managing Linux environments including configuration control and firewall administration.
• Strong understanding of network services: Cloudflare, DHCP, DNS, NTP, SNMP.
• Hands‑on with Ubuntu and Red Hat distributions, including upgrades and security.
• Experience with R&D environment management and CI/CD pipelines.
• Ability to monitor, diagnose and improve system performance.
• Fluency in English.

Responsibilities

• Manage and optimize Linux environments across user endpoints, servers, Docker infrastructure, configuration control, patching and VPNs.
• Contribute to security by participating in risk assessments, audits and best practices.
• Monitor, troubleshoot and improve performance including connectivity and log aggregation.
• Design solutions for secure connectivity to corporate resources and R&D tools using Cloudflare toolset.
• Collaborate with system engineers and cybersecurity teams, support junior colleagues and align solutions with business needs.
