Job summary

Sambla Group in Stockholm is seeking a Senior IT Operations Engineer to own our workplace platform and drive a structured, scalable IT environment. You will work hands-on with Microsoft 365, Entra ID, Intune, and Google Workspace while building smart automation and governance.

You will document and optimize processes, mentor three technicians in Stockholm and Finland, and ensure robust IT controls, audit readiness, and responsive end-user support.

Qualifications

• Solid hands-on experience building or improving processes, documentation, knowledge bases or automations that create long-term value.
• Strong hands-on experience with Microsoft 365, Entra ID and Intune, and with automation using PowerShell and Microsoft Graph API.
• Comfortable working in Google Workspace and quick to get up to speed with new platforms.
• Experience with identity management, device management and access control for hundreds of users.
• Experience with IT controls in regulated environments and audit requirements.
• Enjoy sharing knowledge and helping others in the team grow.
• Strong service mindset and a belief that good IT helps people.

We’re looking for a Senior IT Operations Engineer to join our ICT Operations team in Stockholm. This is a role for someone who enjoys working hands‑on, taking real ownership, and helping build a modern, structured and scalable workplace platform for a growing Nordic fintech organisation.

We’re looking for a senior technician who still enjoys the operational side of IT. Not a manager or architect who has moved away from hands‑on work, but someone who thrives when creating structure, improving ways of working and building solutions that last.

About The Role

In this role, you’ll be the most senior technician in the team and take clear ownership of our workplace platform and modern workplace program. Today, we use Google Workspace, and we have decided to migrate to Microsoft 365. This means that both environments will run in parallel for a period of time.

You’ll work closely with colleagues in ICT Operations as well as stakeholders across the business, with a focus on identity management, user accounts, devices, permissions, processes and automation.

You Will, Among Other Things

• Own and further develop our modern workplace platform.
• Work hands‑on with Microsoft 365, Entra ID, Intune, PowerShell/Microsoft Graph and Google Workspace.
• Create and improve processes, routines, documentation and knowledge sharing.
• Build structure and automation in Freshservice.
• Ensure traceable and accurate handling of accounts, permissions and offboarding.
• Support work related to IT controls, incident documentation and audit requirements.
• Provide mentorship and knowledge sharing to three skilled technicians in Stockholm and Finland.
• Support end users when needed and step into support when the team needs extra hands.

We Believe You

• Have solid experience building or improving processes, documentation, knowledge bases or automations that create long-term value.
• Have strong hands‑on experience with Microsoft 365, Entra ID and Intune, and with automation using PowerShell and the Microsoft Graph API.
• Are comfortable working in Google Workspace, or are quick to get up to speed with new platforms.
• Have worked with identity management, device management and access control in an organisation with a few hundred users.
• Have experience with IT controls in environments with regulatory or audit requirements.
• Enjoy sharing knowledge and helping others in the team grow.
• Have a strong service mindset and believe that good IT is also about helping people.

It’s a plus if you come from fintech, insurance, a regulated scale‑up, an IT service provider or an organisation that has built a higher level of IT maturity over time. What matters most is that you’ve personally been part of building structure, rather than only working within an already established framework.
