Job summary

Cypher Consulting Europe is seeking a senior Infrastructure Specialist for a long-term consulting assignment with a leading international industrial technology company in Västerås. The role is hands-on and focuses on managing and improving complex IT and Industrial/OT infrastructure environments.

You will work across Windows, Linux, virtualization, networking, storage, and security, collaborating with engineering teams supporting SCADA, PLCs, and factory networks to drive robust, scalable

Qualifications

• Strong experience with Windows Server, Linux, virtualization, networking, storage and backup.
• Expertise in infrastructure security and automation.
• Experience with Docker and enterprise infrastructure operations.
• Background in manufacturing/Industrial IT/OT/SCADA/PLC/ICS environments is desirable.

Responsibilities

• Administer Windows Server and Linux environments.
• Manage virtualization platforms (VMware, Hyper-V, Proxmox).
• Support enterprise networking, storage, backup and disaster recovery solutions.
• Drive infrastructure security, hardening, and automation using PowerShell, Python, or Ansible.
• Troubleshoot complex technical issues across multiple infrastructure domains.
• Collaborate with engineering teams supporting industrial systems, SCADA, PLCs, and factory networks.
