Job summary

SEB is seeking a Solution Architect to own the target architecture for the GCP platform, ensuring alignment with domain architecture and business goals. You will partner with the Tech Lead for GCP to shape the platform and guide cross-team compatibility.

You will drive governance, document ADRs, and define reusable solutions for bank-wide patterns, working across security, compliance, and development teams.

Qualifications

• Cloud architecture certification, primarily Google Cloud (e.g. Professional Cloud Architect). A comparable certification in another cloud is accepted.
• University degree and 6-10 years of relevant experience, including several years of architecture or senior engineering in public cloud, with GCP as your main platform.
• Experience of owning architecture that is used broadly by many teams in a large organization.
• Solid understanding of Infrastructure as Code and CI/CD, e.g. Terraform and GitHub Actions, and the ability to work in the codebase.

Responsibilities

• Create, maintain, and drive the target architecture for our GCP platform, in line with the bank's domain architecture and business objectives.
• Define managed, vetted solutions for standard patterns that application teams across the bank can reuse, together with the Solution Architects in the domain.
• Establish and maintain structured architecture practices, including documentation.
• Drive architectural decisions through the bank's architecture governance.
• Support larger initiatives that start from a use case, where application teams need architecture support to land on the platform.
