Job summary

Epidemic Sound seeks a Senior Full Stack Engineer to own and evolve foundational systems serving B2B customers and creators from our Stockholm HQ. You’ll handle entitlements, workspace hierarchies, memberships, authorization, and safelisting as the system of record for user access.

You’ll shape architecture across frontend and backend, improve scalability, and lead tech initiatives. Expect collaboration with Product and Design, on-call rotations, and a strong, open engineering culture.

Qualifications

• 6+ years of experience building and maintaining systems, ideally business-critical ones.
• Proven experience across the stack, end-to-end mission-critical systems.
• Strong grasp of distributed systems and system design principles.
• Backend development experience in Go or another modern language (Python, Node, Java, Kotlin).
• Frontend experience with TypeScript and React.
• Experience operating in cloud environments (GCP preferred, AWS welcome) with modern CI/CD pipelines.
• Ability to translate product/design input into technical specs and communicate with stakeholders.
• Hands-on experience with AI-generated code quality and ownership.

Responsibilities

• Own the team’s systems end-to-end across frontend and backend, from discovery to deployment and documentation.
• Shape the technical direction and architecture for scalability and maintainability.
• Refactor and modernize established systems to improve quality and reliability.
• Lead larger technical initiatives from idea to delivery.
• Ensure stability and reliability of critical systems via monitoring and on-call participation.
• Leverage AI tools in daily work and explore new AI-driven approaches.
• Collaborate with Product and Design to convert needs into technical solutions.
