We’re currently supporting an exciting technology organisation in Malmö looking to bring an experienced Senior FPGA Developer into its engineering team for a long-term assignment.

This is an excellent opportunity for an FPGA specialist who enjoys taking genuine technical ownership rather than simply working from predefined specifications.

You’ll be given the autonomy to drive FPGA design and development independently, influence technical decisions and contribute to solution architecture within a highly technical, international engineering environment.

The Role

As a Senior FPGA Developer, you will take responsibility for FPGA development across the full lifecycle, from initial requirements and architecture through design, implementation, testing and final delivery.

You’ll work closely with other developers and technical specialists while having the freedom and responsibility to drive your own work forward.

Key Responsibilities

• Design, develop and implement FPGA-based solutions
• Take ownership of technical requirements through to final delivery
• Contribute to FPGA architecture and key technical decisions
• Develop and optimise digital hardware designs
• Troubleshoot and resolve complex FPGA and hardware-related issues
• Work independently while collaborating with a wider international engineering team

What We’re Looking For

• Strong professional experience in FPGA development
• Excellent understanding of digital design and hardware development
• Experience independently designing and implementing technical solutions
• Ability to take projects from requirements through development to delivery

• A proactive, self-starting approach
• Very good spoken and written English

Highly Desirable

Experience with any of the following would be particularly interesting:

• Image processing / image analysis
• Video processing systems
• Camera sensors and imaging applications
• VHDL
• Xilinx FPGA
• Intel / Altera FPGA

Location

International engineering environment – English is the working language
