Job summary

Swediumglobal is seeking a Senior FPGA Design Engineer to work onsite in Sweden. The role involves designing and implementing FPGA solutions using VHDL or Verilog, as well as optimizing algorithms for performance. The ideal applicant will possess knowledge of digital signal processing and real-time data analysis, as well as expertise in integrating FPGAs with external interfaces.

Required Skills:

• Several years of hands‑on experience with complex FPGA projects.
• Design and implementation of FPGA solutions using VHDL, Verilog, or SystemVerilog.
• Familiarity with various FPGA platforms and vendors (e.g., Xilinx, Intel/Altera, Lattice) and their respective development environments and languages.
• Integration of FPGAs with microcontrollers, processors, and external interfaces (e.g., SPI, I2C).
• Development of testbenches and simulations for functional verification.
• Experience implementing complex algorithms on FPGAs, preferably in image processing or real‑time data analysis.
• Optimization of algorithms for low latency, high performance, and efficient resource usage.
• Understanding of digital signal processing, real‑time requirements, and embedded systems.

Preferred Qualifications:

• Experience implementing image processing and analysis algorithms directly on FPGAs, such as edge detection, motion tracking, or object recognition.

Experience integrating FPGAs with camera sensors, image buffers, and high‑speed interfaces.
