Job summary

Siemens Energy seeks a Senior Financial Controller in Sweden to optimize financial processes, lead month-end closes, and drive digitalization within the finance function. You will collaborate with Treasury and business stakeholders, transforming data into insights and ensuring compliance with accounting standards.

You will act as a deputy to the Head of Accounting, contributing to finance transformation projects and building a resilient, structured workflow in a fast-paced environment.

Qualifications

• Master’s, bachelor’s, HDR or equivalent experience in Auditing, Economics, or a related field.
• At least 5–7 years of practical experience as a Financial Controller, Auditor, or in a similar role.
• Excellent communication skills in English, both written and verbal.
• Proficiency in SAP, Excel, PowerPoint, and similar tools.
• A resilient and structured approach to work in a fast-paced environment.
• Strong analytical skills and a goal-oriented mindset.
• Experience with digitalization and in project and P2P environments.

Responsibilities

• Manage foreign exchange (FX) accounting activities with accuracy and compliance.
• Lead month-end and quarterly closes and ensure timely reporting.
• Collaborate with Treasury and stakeholders to streamline processes and boost efficiency.
• Transform financial data into actionable insights to support decisions.
• Prepare statutory accounts and assist with various accounting topics.
• Act as deputy to Head of Accounting to ensure continuity.
• Drive internal controls, policies, and regulatory compliance.
• Contribute to finance transformation initiatives to improve processes and controls.

How You’ll Make an Impact

As a Senior Financial Controller in our Finance Department, your responsibilities will include:

• Managing foreign exchange (FX) accounting activities, ensuring accuracy, compliance, and adherence to accounting standards.

• Collaborating closely with Treasury and business stakeholders to streamline processes and enhance operational efficiency.

• Prepare statutory accounts and support the business with various accounting topics
• Acting as deputy to the Head of Accounting, ensuring continuity and seamless execution of departmental responsibilities.
• Driving compliance with internal controls, corporate policies, and accounting regulations.
• Leading and contributing to finance transformation initiatives and projects aimed at improving accounting processes, controls, and efficiency.

What You Bring

• A master’s, bachelor’s, HDr, or equivalent experience in Auditing, Economics, or a related field.
• At least 5-7 years of practical experience as a Financial Controller, Auditor, or in a similar role.
• Proficiency in SAP, Excel, PowerPoint, and similar tools.
• Strong analytical skills and a goal-oriented approach.
• Excellent communication skills in English, both written and verbal.
• A resilient and structured approach to work, thriving in a fast-paced environment.
