Job summary

Klarna is seeking an experienced Compliance Testing professional to join the second line of defense. You will own tests, assess control effectiveness against EU requirements, and coordinate with stakeholders to implement corrective actions.

The role emphasizes data analysis, automation, and AI-enabled testing tools, with responsibility for end-to-end test delivery and clear reporting to senior management.

Qualifications

• At least 3 years in compliance testing, monitoring, or audits within financial services, fintech, banking, or payments.
• Experience designing or running testing scripts, audit programs, or structured review methodologies (scoping, sampling).

Responsibilities

• Own each test from start to finish: scoping, scripting, interviews, reporting, and follow-up.
• Assess design and operating effectiveness of controls against EU requirements and guidance.
• Account for national implementation where Klarna operates when controls change.
• Deliver testing in line with the team’s annual testing plan.
• Use data analysis, automation, and AI-enabled tools to scope and sample tests.
• Write reports with findings, risks, and recommendations for senior management.
• Track observations through to corrective actions and close them on time.
• Act as main contact for business and compliance stakeholders during tests.
