Job summary

Aurora Engineering AB in Sweden is seeking an experienced Senior Diagnostic Engineer to support development and maintenance of diagnostic and fault-tracing solutions for heavy-duty engines and drive systems. The role requires hands-on diagnostic experience, strong troubleshooting skills, and a solid understanding of automotive diagnostic systems and technical documentation.

You will collaborate with cross-functional teams to deliver high-quality diagnostic content and support service operations.

Qualifications

8+ years of engineering experience, including more than 5 years with heavy-duty engines and/or drive systems.
Strong hands-on diagnostics, troubleshooting, and fault tracing experience.
Knowledge of Product Data Management (PDM), technical documentation, and CAD tools.
Understanding of workshop operations and service technician requirements.
Experience with automotive diagnostic tools and systems.
Strong analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills.
Fluent in written and spoken English.

Responsibilities

Develop and maintain diagnostic trouble code (DTC) information and troubleshooting procedures.
Create accurate and reliable fault-tracing documentation for service technicians.
Verify diagnostic information through physical and virtual testing.
Support service and repair operations with effective diagnostic solutions.
Collaborate with cross-functional engineering and technical teams.
Ensure diagnostic information meets quality and customer requirements.
