Job summary

Role Overview

Senior backend DevOps Engineer – responsible for improving and innovating our existing solutions, integrating products for deployability, and automating deployments on Kubernetes. The role requires analysing dependencies, automating pipelines, managing infrastructure, cloud set‑ups, and APIs to trigger deployments.

Team Mariners

The Mariners team is a small, highly qualified group of five developers focused on vital infrastructure for our products and other teams. We use GitLab, Terraform, Kubernetes and “Infrastructure as Code”, and we practise pair and mob programming. We also work on product development with an emphasis on networking, security and automated deployment.

Responsibilities

• Develop and set up infrastructure in Kubernetes and AWS
• Develop and maintain CI/CD solutions
• Automate pipelines, infrastructure, cloud set‑ups, and APIs for other teams
• Interact with and support other development teams and developers

Qualifications

• Fluency in Python, C and/or Golang
