About the job

We offer an interesting job opportunity within Business Unit Brazed & Fusion Bonded Heat Exchangers for you that enjoys working with Key Customers in Global Market. You will be based in Ronneby and report to the Development manager in Ronneby.

Responsibilities

As Senior Development Engineer, you will be technically responsible for the ALICS product line. You will design in 3D CAD both the principal design solution to be presented to customer as well as the detail design and drawings for manufacturing.

• Project management: drive and coordinate all activities in the development projects in very close cooperation with OEM engine customers, suppliers and internal Alfa Laval functions, leading up to start of a new product or improvement/upgrades of existing products.
• Claim coordination: drive claim meetings externally with customer and internally with manufacturing, and coordinate claim investigations.
• Product management (optional): analyze the ALICS product range competitiveness, identify areas for cost/performance improvement, and manage related tasks as needed.
• Key tasks: work with key account managers to catch business opportunities and assess viability by driving the technical proposal.
• Design: create 3D CAD models, drawings, PDM and sizing for the application.
• Project leadership: manage development project with key account manager, customer, supply chain, and suppliers.
• Product quality: maintain and improve product quality, including claims coordination and investigations in relation to product design and application.

Qualifications

You have a development engineer background. Your education is at least a bachelor degree in Mechanical Engineering and we expect that you have a 5‑10 years relevant experience with preferably insight to OEM business. Experience with casting design is a plus. The work requires that you communicate fluently in written and spoken English.

As a person, you are a team player, structured and organized with good communication skills and cultural awareness. You are committed to deliver and keep deadlines. You have strong influencing skills and can establish and keep relationships with customers based on trust, respect, and understanding of their needs.
