Job summary

PHINIA in Sweden seeks a senior mechanical design engineer to design and develop automotive-mechatronic products. You will work with cross‑functional teams, using Creo Parametric to deliver innovative solutions from concept through manufacturing.

Qualifications

Master’s or Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering or Mechatronics.
Minimum 5 years of professional experience in mechanical design and product development.
Proficiency in Creo Parametric.
Experience designing plastic and metal components for manufacturing (injection molding, casting).
Knowledge of stamped, machined, milled, and turned components.
Experience in automotive and mechatronic systems desirable.
Knowledge of internal combustion engines, PDM, and model‑based simulation advantageous.
Fluent in English (written and spoken).

Responsibilities

Design, develop, and maintain mechanical and mechatronic products for automotive applications.
Collaborate with cross‑functional teams to deliver innovative solutions for future products.
Create and develop designs using Creo Parametric.
Design components in plastic and metal for manufacturing (injection molding, casting).
