Job summary

PHINIA Sweden AB in Åmål is seeking a seasoned engineering leader to head the Design and Test team. You will oversee planning, prioritization, and execution of work, aligning team objectives with business goals while driving technical excellence and responsible use of resources and budget.

You will mentor engineers, foster collaboration in a dynamic development environment, and contribute to continuous improvement and performance reviews. Fluency in English is required.

Qualifications

• Master’s degree in Engineering or equivalent
• Experience in leadership roles
• Strong English communication
• Knowledge of mechatronics, preferably within the automotive industry
• Experience from product development projects is advantageous

Responsibilities

• Full people management responsibility for the team, including planning, coordination, and prioritization of tasks
• Ensure efficient use of resources and that the team delivers according to set objectives
• Lead daily operations and drive team performance forward
• Responsible for competence development and employee performance reviews
• Ensure budget responsibility and cost efficiency
• Contribute to developing and strengthening team ways of working and results
