Job summary

Aira is seeking a Senior Data Engineer to join the Data Platform team in Stockholm. You will help build, improve and scale the data platform used by multiple teams to power products and decisions. The role mixes hands‑on engineering with architecture input and stakeholder collaboration.

You’ll work on pipelines, platform capabilities, and governance, while shaping how data is consumed across the organization through Data Mesh principles and self‑service analytics.

Qualifications

• Several years of experience in data engineering and working with production systems at scale.
• Experience across data engineering, platform engineering, backend development or infrastructure.
• Ability to move between implementation details, architecture discussions and stakeholder conversations.

Responsibilities

• Build, improve and maintain Aira's data platform.
• Develop and operate batch and streaming data pipelines.
• Work with domain teams to establish and evolve data serving pipelines.
• Help teams own and manage their data assets through our Data Mesh approach.
• Enable analytics engineers and domain experts to build data products and self‑service analytics.
• Make it easier for teams to build, run and maintain data products.
• Improve reliability, governance, observability and platform performance.
• Contribute to architectural decisions and long‑term platform direction.
• Explore new technologies and approaches to solve real problems.
