Job summary

Hadron Talent -Hadronfinsys in Gothenburg, Sweden seeks a Senior Data Engineer to design, build and own scalable data products and reliable data pipelines that support product development and data-driven decision-making. This is an initial 6-month contract with a high possibility of extension.

You will work closely with Product, Engineering and Analytics teams while ensuring data is secure, compliant (GDPR) and well-documented, and you will mentor teammates to raise engineering standards.

Qualifications

• 8+ years of Data Engineering experience.
• Strong SQL skills and proficiency in Python, Scala or Java.
• Hands-on experience with AWS, Azure or GCP.
• Strong experience building production-grade ETL/ELT pipelines.
• Solid understanding of data architecture, modelling, governance and data quality.
• Experience with production monitoring, reliability, troubleshooting and performance optimization.
• Understanding of data privacy and compliance, preferably GDPR.
• Experience working in product/engineering-focused environments.

Responsibilities

• Design, build and maintain scalable ETL/ELT pipelines across multiple source systems.
• Build and maintain data products, data models and business-ready datasets.
• Ensure data quality, accuracy, reliability and availability across data solutions.
• Monitor pipeline performance, troubleshoot production issues and minimize downtime.
• Implement testing, validation, monitoring and data quality processes.
• Improve pipelines through automation, scalability and performance optimization.
• Evolve data architecture to support changing business requirements and growing data volumes.
• Ensure GDPR and privacy compliance and secure data handling.
• Maintain documentation of data flows, architecture and privacy processes.
• Apply engineering best practices including CI/CD, testing, monitoring and documentation.
• Identify opportunities to modernize and automate the data infrastructure.
• Collaborate with stakeholders and mentor other team members.
