emagine in Stockholm or Helsinki is seeking an experienced Senior Architect to shape the future of banking technology. You will lead the architecture of domain‑oriented data products and APIs that enable critical business capabilities across the bank.

Working at the intersection of business, technology and data, you will partner with architects, engineers, product managers and senior stakeholders to create scalable, secure and resilient solutions while guiding multiple delivery streams.

Qualifications

• Significant experience in Solution Architecture, Domain Architecture, Enterprise Architecture or comparable senior role.
• Proven track record designing and delivering enterprise-scale data, API and integration solutions.
• Experience leading architecture across multiple teams, products or technology domains.
• Strong understanding of banking technology and business processes, Core Banking exposure desirable.
• Experience in regulated environments with high security, resilience and data governance requirements.

Responsibilities

• Define and evolve the architecture vision, principles and roadmap for Data Products and Domain APIs.
• Align business capabilities, data assets, APIs and technology platforms across multiple delivery streams.
• Oversee end-to-end solution architecture and coordinate architects in each delivery stream.
• Identify interfaces, data flows and cross-domain dependencies and guide solution evaluation.
• Establish patterns and standards for domain-owned data products that are discoverable, trustworthy and reusable.
• Clarify data ownership, product boundaries, quality, metadata and lifecycle responsibilities.
• Partner with stakeholders to maximise data value and safe use across the organisation.
• Promote modern data architecture practices including data product thinking.
• Define API-first architecture principles, standards, governance and lifecycle management.
• Guide domain boundaries, API contracts, versioning, security and reusable integration patterns.
• Ensure APIs are secure, scalable, resilient, observable and easy-to-use.
• Support event-driven and service-oriented integration approaches where valuable.
• Define solution-level functional and non-functional requirements for availability, performance, security, scalability and operability.
• Define subsystems and interfaces, allocate responsibilities and clarify interactions with broader context.
• Build and maintain architectural runway for sustainable delivery and future change.
• Enable Continuous Delivery and DevOps through pragmatic design guidelines and automation.
• Collaborate with Product, Solution Management, engineering teams and external suppliers.
• Contribute architectural expertise to planning, high-level design and demonstrations.
• Shape architectural enablers and allocate enablement capacity.
• Communicate complex decisions to technical and non-technical audiences.
• Mentor architects and foster decentralised decision-making.
