Job summary

emagine is seeking a Principal Data Architect for our client in the Nordic financial services sector. You will own the Group information model and overall data architecture, unifying concepts across markets while accommodating local variation within a multi-year transformation.

You will lead domain models, versioned data contracts and anti-corruption layers, collaborating with platform teams on an AWS-governed data platform. Stockholm-based, hybrid with remote work as required.

Qualifications

• Principal-level experience in data architecture, information architecture or enterprise architecture within a regulated business.
• Experience establishing common information models across multiple markets.
• Practical experience with domain-driven design and bounded contexts.
• Experience designing and governing large-scale data platforms (Databricks, Snowflake, Microsoft Fabric or equivalent).
• Experience with data migration or change data capture from Oracle, Db2 or PostgreSQL.
• Treat schemas, data contracts and semantic models as versioned artefacts.
• Strong GDPR and DORA governance knowledge.
• Ability to build consensus across business and technology teams.
• Fluent written and spoken English.

Responsibilities

• Define the Group information model: common concepts, entities and relationships, and where local variation is required.
• Own the domain model, including bounded contexts, context maps, shared language and service boundaries.
• Introduce anti-corruption layers between new domain contracts and legacy systems of record.
• Define how the model, governance and data contracts are implemented on the operational data platform.
• Design the migration architecture, covering patterns, reconciliation and sequencing.
• Design data governance: classification, lineage, ownership, retention and access control.
• Set architecture principles, standards and review processes.
