Job summary

The successful candidate will analyze automotive data formats (MDF, MF4, CSV), interpret CAN/LIN definitions, and develop reusable pattern libraries for signal and event detection while collaborating with validation

Senior Data Analyst

Role Purpose

Lead the design, development, and ownership of D1 and D2 analytics capabilities, transforming vehicle data into actionable insights through advanced signal analysis, feature engineering, and machine learning techniques.

Key Responsibilities

• Perform analysis of automotive data formats including MDF, MF4, and CSV.
• Interpret and validate DBC files and CAN network definitions.
• Develop and maintain reusable pattern libraries for signal and event detection.
• Design and implement signal engineering methodologies.
• Extract and engineer features from vehicle telemetry and sensor data.
• Develop environment classification models and logic.
• Reconstruct vehicle journeys and driving scenarios from recorded data.
• Define and support route recommendation and journey intelligence algorithms.
• Collaborate with validation and engineering teams to ensure analytical accuracy and domain relevance.

Required Skills & Experience

• Strong knowledge of CAN and LIN communication protocols.
• Experience with DBC interpretation and signal mapping.
• Proficiency in Python for data processing and analytics.
• Expertise in Time-Series Data Analytics.
• Practical experience applying Machine Learning techniques to automotive datasets.
• Understanding of Automotive Validation processes and workflows.
• Knowledge of vehicle data acquisition, diagnostics, and analytics methodologies.
• D1 Detection Engine development and optimization.
• D1 Confidence Scoring framework and performance evaluation.
• D2 Environment Classification models and analytics solutions.
• D2 Journey Discovery and reconstruction capabilities.
• Documentation, validation, and continuous improvement of analytical models and detection logic.
