Job summary

McDermott International, Ltd seeks a seasoned Commissioning Manager in Sweden to lead complex start-up activities for major oil and gas projects. You will guide commissioning strategies, manage teams, and ensure safe, on-time handover.

This role requires a deep engineering background, 10+ years in oil and gas, and strong communication across disciplines. Travel to site locations and collaboration with clients are expected.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree or equivalent in Engineering.
• 10+ years in oil and gas with major contractor or consultant.
• In-depth understanding of commissioning, completions, and training.
• Guides processes and policies with industry knowledge.
• BSc in chemical, mechanical or electrical engineering preferred.
• Minimum 10 years in chemical/refinery/oil & gas with major projects.
• Experience leading commissioning teams on large-scale projects.
• Strong communication and presentation skills with project mgmt.

Responsibilities

• Determines manpower requirements and tracks commissioning budget.
• Directs pre-commissioning activities.
• Supports client during commissioning, start-up, and operations.
• Participates in project workshops and reviews engineering docs.
• Supervises development of pre- and commissioning procedures.
• Develops electrical testing procedures for systems.
• Directs subcontractors, suppliers, and client personnel on site.
• Develops training programs for all staff and client personnel.
• Interfaces with local agencies for required approvals.
• Liaises with completions for data validation in the database.
• Implements safety procedures for the facility.
• Prepares Close Out Report at project completion.
