Job summary

Kraken is seeking an experienced engineer to design and build the technical layer of the internal AI platform, from integration surface to production runbook, ensuring governance and safe usage across the organization.

You will own the governed integration gateway, onboarding connectors, authentication flows (OAuth, SCIM), reliability, and vendor escalation, and build tooling that extends the platform while enforcing policy and spend controls across the AI estate.

Qualifications

• Experience administering large-scale SaaS platforms (1,000+ seats).
• Proven ability to build and ship software, with Python or similar language.
• Experience integrating LLM and SaaS APIs and tool-calling patterns.
• Knowledge of identity, access, OAuth, SCIM, SSO, and federated identities.
• Strong operational discipline: queues, SLAs, runbooks, escalation.
• Ability to teach technical concepts clearly to diverse audiences.
• Strong written communication for runbooks and policy pages.

Responsibilities

• Design and implement the technical layer of the internal AI platform, from integration surface to production runbooks.
• Own the governed integration gateway: onboarding connectors, authentication flows, reliability, vendor escalation.
• Build internal tooling: agent scaffolding, prompt assets, evaluation harnesses, provisioning automation, integrations to systems of record.
• Configure and operate tiered spend controls across the AI estate; set caps, alerts, reconciliation, and risk controls.
• Implement data handling, retention, identity integration, SSO/SCIM, and access policy across models and workspaces.
• Collaborate with teams to unblock work, understand workflows, and tailor tooling to maximize leverage of AI tools.
• Lead technical enablement: tool rollouts, office hours for model releases, and knowledge base governance.
• Administer the enterprise AI estate end to end: model turn ups, feature enablement, deprecation, provisioning queues.
